It's still rain season but legally it's supposed to end at the end of this month which is great because things are supposed to cool down a few degrees and we wont get our books wet anymore. It's been terribly hot, it'll be mice to have a little change in that.
This week has been a average normal week in the mission here in Ecuador. We've found a few new people to teach and we've lost a few people too. There are some moments when we don't know what God's plan is for us until a situation presents itself:
Like one night we were standing in a park one night looking at our planners because all our plans fell through for the night and were didn't know exactly where we should go. As we were doing this, an 11 year old boy stopped us and asked "excuse me, do you know God?" We said yes and he asked if we could help him. After asking that he started crying. We noticed that his shirt was wet from him crying before. We sat on the swing set and talked to him for awhile.
He had a lot of faith, he and his family were very religious, however, he discovered that his dad did...bad things with women and his mind basically got destroyed. He said that he was praying for help and comfort and that when he looked up he saw us. We didn't know what we were going to do that night, but God did. We talked to the little boy for awhile and comforted him the best we could. We know that God hears and answers the prayers of ALL of his children.
Things here are going good. I hope the same applies back home. :)
Love you all!
